Loading real software

Booting to a BASIC prompt and loading a tape are different claims, and the second is the one that exercises the media path. This is Breakout (Bug Byte, 1981), captured here from a locally held UEF tape image.

Breakout on acorn-atom
The COS prints PLAY TAPE and waits for a keypress; supplying it loads the tape. This reaches the first file on the tape, which for Breakout is the program’s own instructions rather than the game.Breakout © 1981 Bug Byte. Captured by us from a locally held UEF tape image; Emu198x does not distribute it.

A crate in exactly one shipping closure is this machine's own, so its tests are evidence about this machine. A shared crate is common to several and distinguishes nothing.
